2013
Company founded
Makayla Kane started Southern Comfort Fitteds in the the corner of her living room with her grandmothers sewing machine. The first batch of cloth diapers launched on hyenacart on her birthday April 25th, and they all sold out. Southern Comfort Fitteds is a play on words - comfort down "south" on the body, and soft "comfortable" diapers made in the "south" in Texas.
2021
First Cloth Pad Launch
After hand making and selling over 5,000 cloth diapers, growing our facebook group, and launching our website - we launched our flagship product line, the Cloth Pad, receiving overwhelming support from our community. We were given the nickname SoCo Studio for short, removing the Fitteds as we outgrew the diaper world and into the pad realm.
2022
Went Viral on Tik Tok
As social media became more popular, our first viral videos brought us tons of new customers, so we had to make more pads and expand the team as we were selling out instantly, creating a lot of disappointment in future customers.
2024
Moved into our first Warehouse
We moved out of our upstairs workroom, to our first 1750 square foot warehouse where we could endure our most pivotal growth on our private ranch for the next 2 years.
2026
Our first Commercial Space
With over 15 female employees at SoCo, we moved to town into a new commercial space of 3,750 sq feet. We now make and sell over 1500 pads a month and continue to grow our social media, content and reach.
